ABOUT THE FOUNDER
The founder and owner of ARelec Engineering Mr. Alvin Ramsaran is the holder of a BSc. (Hons) in Electrical and Computer Engineering and MASc. (Distinction) in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Energy Systems. He has 25.5 years experience in the Electric Utility Industry having served in varying capacities at the Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Commission with the last position being Manager, System Planning and Research, at an Executive Management position. He also served in the capacity of Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Assistant for 14 years in the Energy System Department at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus in the field of Electromechanical Energy Conversion, Power Transmission & Distribution and Industrial & Commercial Electrical Systems. He is also:
- A Senior Member of the IEEE
- A Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineering in Trinidad & Tobago
- A Certified Cable and Diagnostics Technician in the US
- The only Certified UVgrapher in the Caribbean.
Finally, he is one of the eight Engineers approved by the Chief Electrical Inspector of the Government Electrical Inspectorate (GEI) to conduct HV testing on behalf of the GEI in Trinidad & Tobago.
His training spans twenty-seven years in the industry and includes:
